BRYN THOMAS

Since graduating with an MA in Ethnographic and Documentary Filmmaking from UCL in 2019, Bryn has held several positions within the documentary film industry in both the UK and Denmark. After relocating permanently to Denmark in 2022, he joined the team at Elk Film. Over the past four years, Bryn has been mentored by Elk’s senior producers and has gained extensive industry experience across development, production, and post-production. He worked on As the Tide Comes In (IDFA 2023) and was involved in the post-production of Daughter of Genghis (CPH:DOX 2024). Through Elk, he is currently producing his first feature documentary, Emma’s Vej, supported by TV 2 and the Danish Film Institute (DFI), scheduled for release in late 2026. Alongside his producing work, Bryn directs and produces his own short documentaries, which have screened at BAFTA-qualifying festivals in the UK.  His latest short doc premiered at Docs Ireland in 2026.
